Fortnite, the popular video game developed by Epic Games, recently re-released the original Season with the original map and weapons, calling it “OG.” When the time period of the first season was over, the next one was ready to launch, and it did on January 31.
Season 2 brought many changes to the game, especially the map. This included bringing back some more of the old points of interest that came out this season, like Junk Junction, Haunted Hills, Snobby Shores, Shifty Shafts, and the fan-favorite Tilted Towers.
Fortnite is expecting for Season 2 to be a big success.
According to BeeBom.com, “Epic’s decision to bring back this version of the map makes sense, as many players consider Chapter 1 Season 2 the period when Fortnite really hit its stride.”
This is true because it seemed like at this point in the game’s history, everyone was playing it and it was enjoyable due to the additions that made it more interesting.
I asked two Kempsville High School students about their opinions on Season 2 and what’s to come.
Senior Sawyer Whitmore said, “The named location I am looking forward to the most is Tilted Towers. Although there are a bunch of sweats, it’s a great drop.”
Overall that he is most looking forward to is “getting more number one Victory Royales, especially getting them with some of my boys like the good old days.”
Another senior, Nate Simon added,
“Out of all weapons being added back, I look forward most to using the minigun.”
Overall, the thing he is most looking forward to is “landing at Tilted Towers.”
It seems like Tilted Towers is one of the main reasons that people will be playing this season. This is because it was the first city-like location to be added into the game and it was always popular.
In my opinion, I love the new season. I have probably played around five hours of it and it has been fun and nostalgic. It was so nostalgic for me because I played this season when I was in fifth grade. Being a senior now, it has been so long and it was a blast from the past. Fortnite did an outstanding job on its accuracy with making the map and the weapons look older and it even brought back some of the older sounds.
Overall, I would give this season an 8/10 because it was enjoyable and my friends agree!
