‘Piece by Piece’ I am ‘Thinking Out Loud’ about ‘Uptown Funk’

“Heartbeat Song” is on Kelly Clarkson’s new album ‘Piece by Piece’. All together Clarkson has five albums dating back to 2003. The video for Heartbeat Song is a break-up, make-up situation. In the video people are fighting and are caught cheating on the people that they consider their first love and they think that they will never love again. But as the video proceeds those whose hearts have been broken, they meet someone new and their heart starts to heal and mend and they fall in love again. Hence the line “And I’m so used to feeling numb. Now, I got pins and needles on my tongue. Anticipating what’s to come.” The beat of the song is an upbeat type of song. The kind that you would play if you were down in the dumps. All in all it is a very good song to listen to, its well written, and performed well same with the video paired with the song. It very much sounds like a typical Kelly Clarkson song. Most of her songs in the past are either about heart break or becoming stronger and this one is a mixture of both. You got your heart broken but you got a better love from it and you got stronger. Clarkson is keeping with her typical song writing process.
The song “Thinking Out Loud” is the ultimate love song for those serious relationships. Or for our dream relationships. It still has a pop feel to it but it is a slower song compared to the rest of the songs on this album. In the video it depicts Sheeran and a beautiful woman dancing around a ballroom. The dancing in the video is as beautiful as the song. The song represents love for everything that it is, everything that we hope it to be and how unexplainable and unexpected it is, but still very welcomed, because we all will at one point willing welcome this type of love into our hearts with open arms because that’s the type of love that we want. This is the type of song that you can just listen to and smile at any time of day; it’s a non-stop smile, heart-warming song; that brings love and hope to your heart because we all need a good smile and we need someone love us the way we want and this song lets us hope that we will find that and we smile at the thought of our future with the love of our lives.
Now “Uptown Funk” really is a pop song. It’s really upbeat, poppy, and just all around funky. From the dance moves to the lyrics you will be dancing and singing along with this song the entire time that it is played. The song was written by Mark Ronson, but Bruno Mars does most if not all the vocals for this song. But I don’t think that we are complaining about it any; it’s a hit. This is mainly a dance song, unlike the others which are types of love songs, this one you just want to jump around and dance like no one is watching. “If you freaky then own it.”
