Kempsville Summer Camps Available for Elementary and Middle School Students
May 30, 2019
Kempsville activities will be available to elementary and middle school students, as Kempsville is offering, for the first year ever, summer camps for rising students. There are eight camps available: baseball, soccer, entrepreneurship, football, cooking, chess, field hockey, and cheer. The camps will run at varying points from June to August and are for students who have not yet entered into high school, with the age scope ranging from rising first graders to rising freshman, depending on activity. Camps vary from four-hour days to seven-hour days, and the price range is from $75 to $125, with cooking, field hockey, and entrepreneurship camps being on the higher end of the scale.
In the entrepreneurship camp, students will be able to work in the KHS Makerspace and use the MakerBot 3D printer. For other opportunities, such as in cheer camp and football camp, participants will have the chance to work with and be led by Kempsville athletes and coaches.
Registration is due by June 10, and forms and more information is available here.
