Beginning February 4 there is a new app created by VBCPS that allows parents to track their kid’s bus and students to see when the school bus is close to their stop. The app is called Here Comes the Bus, and it is available on the App Store and Google Play.

Here Comes the Bus allows students and parents to create accounts and also allows for registered accounts to receive notifications letting them know when their bus is close to the stop.

It is important to note that this app tracks the bus route and not the actual student. The app also does not track transportation for special education students, ATC, athletics and any other alternative bus routes after the end of school.

“This app will provide our riders, as well as their parents, real-time tracking information – something which can be particularly helpful during inclement weather,” said VBCPS’ Executive Director of Transportation David Pace.
